A new good year:)

It's a famous Persian proverb that says, "a new good year is identified by its spring"*.
Now, Nickahang Kowsar is using the proverb in his newest cartoon, which is about recent election in Iran and the reform fate.

Let me translate it: (cartoon's link)
The title is "Happy new year",
On the vertical gravestone it's written, "Reform",
The horizontal graveyrad reads, "The late reform who now resides in the heaven; birth: May 1997, death: February 2004" (the former date refers to the day in which Khatami was elected for the first time, and the latter is the recent parliamentary election in which conservatives occupied the majles by as much cheat as they could do.),
And the words on the right-bottom corner are the famous proverb...

Is reform process in Iran really dead? I doubt it...;)

*Iranian new year begins exactly when spring begins. There are only 3 days left to enter the new year. I am going to write about it and post it here.
